What are Claude
scheduled tasks?
Scheduled tasks are a Claude feature (currently in beta) that runs an instruction you write on a repeating schedule: hourly, daily, weekdays, or weekly. Each run is a normal Claude session with access to your connectors, which is the part that matters here: your private Jobber connector works inside a scheduled task exactly like it does when you ask by hand.
That combination turns one-off questions into standing briefings. The asking still happens in plain English. You just only have to ask once.
Setting one up takes
about a minute
- In Claude, open Scheduled in the sidebar and click New task.
- Name it something you will recognize, like Daily Jobber Briefing.
- Paste the instructions from any recipe above, or write your own in plain English.
- Make sure the task uses the project or connector setup where your JobberToClaude connector lives.
- Pick the frequency and time, choose your permissions setting, and save. The first run shows up in the task's history, and summaries can arrive as notifications.

Do you need a certain
Claude plan?
Yes: scheduled tasks are part of Claude's paid plans (Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise). They are not available on the free plan. Cloud-run tasks, the kind that fire even when your laptop is closed, are rolling out in beta by plan.
As of September 2026 this is beta territory, so specifics can shift. The recipes on this page were tested on a real account with a real connector, and we update this page as the feature settles.
How is this different from
Jobber's built-in Automations?
Jobber's Automations are rules: when X happens, do Y. They are good at firing a reminder when a quote sits too long or tagging a client when a job closes. What they cannot do is read the whole situation and write you the summary a sharp office manager would: what today actually looks like, which five invoices matter most, where the schedule is about to pinch.
Scheduled briefings are judgment on a clock, not triggers. The two work fine together: keep your Jobber rules doing the mechanical things, and let Claude do the reading, comparing, and summarizing that rules cannot express.

What are Jobber automations with Claude?

Desktop-based tasks run when the Claude app is open and catch up when you reopen it. Our morning briefing test ran in the cloud and arrived as a notification without any device awake.
Will it change things in Jobber without asking me?
Only if you tell it to. Every recipe here is read-and-report: Claude reads your Jobber data and writes you a summary. Nothing is created, edited, or sent to a customer. Scheduled tasks also have a permissions setting you control, so you decide whether a task can act on its own or must wait for approval.
Can it automatically send messages to my customers?
These recipes do not touch your customers. They report to you. If you want help with outreach, the pattern we recommend is asking Claude to prepare drafts for your review during the day, so a human always presses send.
Does this need anything besides my JobberToClaude connector?
No. Scheduled tasks use the connectors already on your Claude account, so the same private connector that answers your questions during the day runs your briefings on a schedule. Nothing new to install or pay for on our side.
Do scheduled tasks use up my Claude usage?
Yes. Each run is a normal Claude session and counts toward your plan's usage like any other conversation. A short daily briefing is a light session; keep that in mind if you stack many tasks on a lower-tier plan.
